  • When I think about my roots, I think of all the waves I would get as I’d drive to run errands, or head to school. I think of people who watched me grow up and still genuinely care about what I'm doing today. I think of comfort, community, joy, and pride. I think of family, even if I'm not even related. That's a sentiment I know others share as well!

    The heart behind that feeling is how Prairie Roots Design & Goods emerged and is the cornerstone and foundation of the company. Prairie Roots is designed to capture all those feelings through amazing design and help foster that community spirit.

  • I'm Leah, the owner of Prairie Roots Design & Goods. I grew up in Peterson, IA and received my BFA in Graphic Design at Iowa State University. With 7 years of design experience, I started this company as a way to use my love for design to support the local community where I grew up.
